CINCINNATI, OH - January 11, 2017 - For the sixth time in seven years, Powernet has been selected as an honoree of the Medical Mutual Pillar Award. Powernet is one of eight organizations to receive the community service award during the 2017 ceremony to be held January 11th at the Duke Energy Convention Center.
The award was created by Smart Business and Medical Mutual to honor organizations and individuals dedicated to making an impact in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region through community service. The event publicizes the importance of community service issues, fosters the exchange of creative ways to positively impact the community, and honors those that go beyond the minimum expectation of community service.
“We are delighted to have received the Pillar Award once again,” said Alli Stevens, Powernet CEO. “We make an effort everyday to make a difference in the community by exploring how our resources can benefit those in need throughout the community.”
Powernet pursues this goal in a variety of ways. After having instituted charitable paid time off, allowing employees to take time off work to volunteer at local organizations, Powernet’s impact on the community has grown.
